What is Unslept Art
Unslept Art is a woman-owned collection of nightmares with a primary focus on dark and often surreal or abstract subject matters. These works are often influenced by dreams, fantasy, nature, horror, and mental health. Unslept Art takes on many different forms with mediums such as oil paint, pen and ink, sculpture, and mixed media. Many of these works end up being translated into prints, stickers, keychains, button pins, etc.
Unslept Art has participated in many different types of events (including the Villain Arts Tattoo Convention, LUMA Projection Arts Festival, StellarCon, Living Dead Weekend, oddities markets, local craft fairs, etc) and some art galleries.
Who is behind Unslept Art
Unslept Art comes entirely from the mind of Nicole Flynn. Nicole has been creating since she could hold a crayon and began gravitating towards darker subject matter at a fairly young age. She is primarily self-taught and attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Her art-making process can vary a lot, but one thing that always remains consistent is the dedication and passion she puts into everything she does.
Nicole is currently based in NY. She has four cats and works out of an in-home studio.
